brand new series called beach towns is now up!

really happy to say that basic_sounds has just put out my new ‘i wasn’t born yesterday’ ep. it was originally just a single i released some time ago but ended up building a whole ep around it. check it out below!

katie lee (of dreamboats BRAIDS) and myself worked on some music a while back. this is the first offering kindly featured by the always lovely s&s.

trash mountain is as much a state of mind as it is a real place. there’s a charm that welcomes you and an odor that doesn’t let you get completely comfortable. one afternoon we were taken to a watering hole referred appropriately to as ‘the coldhole’. its a natural spring fed pool that turns into a creek tucked away amongst brush on a random piece of land off the road. you’d never know it were there unless you knew it was there- which was why i guess it made the perfect bunker during the civil war. anyone who knows me knows that i love swimming; so clearly some of the best times i had this spring were spent in murfreesboro, tn. i’m real happy to finally be able to share these images.

this came out today. i can already say this is one of my favorite releases of the year. holy hot ham. grischa is a prime example of why i think a lot of electronic music being produce today is more punk rock than a ton of current punk.
