some tour shots from my time with gobble gobble. i really love that second shot of cecil… i just really hate that calvin put his arm up on the chair the second i snapped it. he couldn’t have waited another 1/125 of a second! love his arm in the first shot though. in my opinion we didn’t do enough skinny dipping or swimming in general. for the record i was nude too.
so right now i’m on tour with good friends gobble gobble for a short while during their Mobile Rave Infinitour. if you have any sort of common sense in your head and body you will make an effort to see these guys on one of their +160 shows over the next handful of months.
in personal news you can check out the two compilations i’ve been on recently:
i forgot to mention a while back that i got a lovely little feature on designboom for nocturne no. i a while back. the sites been a huge source of finding new inspirational work and i was really quite pleased to be included after being a fan for so long.
i’m beat beyond belief… and it won’t stop any time soon. i’ll get back to toronto with a new printed book and then leave the next day to join gbl gbl on tour for a little while. suuummer
so i’m playing a set as headaches and another with cope as st.gilles at sled island in a couple days. looking forward to it as i’ve got some new visuals and tracks to unleash. also have a newer track on the compilation for this year’s festival as well.
both sets are on july 1st:
headaches @ Palomino – 15h30
st.gilles w/ cope @ 1505 – 6 St. SW – 21h – Vanessa’s (comrad sound’s been shut down down down)
anyone who knows me knows that i’ve never done fashion…and if you don’t…well then it’s pretty obvious from my site that it’s not where i focus in the least.
that being said, my wonderfully talented designer friend tala asked me if i’d go for a walk in highpark during cherry blossom season… a couple minutes later that turned into ‘hey we should do a shoot in high park!’. i said okay, figuring i’d give a whirl and had no idea what to expect. a day later we had everything we needed, makeup, hair and model with warren helping me out.
the shoot was interesting to say the least. first of all… the cherry blossoms were beautiful! i’d never seen anything like that before and was floored. secondly the dress and model were beautiful and thirdly, the space was overwhelmed with tourists! i wasn’t sure how it was going to go down but when tala said she was actually into the idea of having tourists in the shots with a elegant model contrasting the situation, i was into it as well. weird = good in my books. the shoot was a ton of fun and we turned into quite a spectacle and we were all really happy with the results.
here’s how the shoot turned out followed by some behind the scenes shots:
